Beyond Here

This body of work is the continuation of my long-standing exploration of place, restlessness, and belonging—emotions that have guided my photography for years. I began my journey with Anywhere but Here, a project rooted in the feeling that I am always searching for something, yet never fully finding it. I would move from one place to another, hoping for clarity or connection, only to feel like I didn’t belong again.

But over time, I realised that this sense of longing and disconnection wasn’t just about location—it was about the search itself. I feel most alive when I’m exploring somewhere new, when the familiar becomes strange, and the unfamiliar sparks something in me. It's not about reaching a destination, but about the journey of seeing, of experiencing something in the moment. The challenge isn’t finding a place to belong, but in constantly shifting perspective to embrace what’s just beyond my reach.

The work continues in this spirit, building on the restlessness that has always been part of me. I’ve learned that I thrive on uncertainty—on being an outsider, on not fully understanding what I see. The mystery of the unknown sharpens my senses and fuels my imagination. I hope that the work reflects this disorienting, ever-moving landscape of the mind. The locations may change, but the state of mind remains: an ongoing search, a process of living in a world that is always shifting, never fully comprehensible.

This is not a conclusion, but an ongoing chapter—a work in progress.
